  Mod Question - 05 2.5S - Offsets

Hey whats up guys!

I've been browsing thru the forum, trying to answer my own questions - and I think that I might have, but wanted to run them by the experts first because I couldnt find a solid answer on what offset to run.

Ok, I finally got my Windows tinted 5%, and a K&N Typhoon CAI installed. Next, i want to do coilovers & Wheels.

From what I can see/read in these few pages, it looks like 18x8's might have a problem. It seems like +40 is a good offset?

Q: Can I run 18x8 +40's with 235/40's without rubbing? Or should I go with a 18x8 +38?

I really don't want to go with a 35 series sidewall, because I think it'll be to thin and I don't want to risk damaging my wheels.

Q: What coildovers, or even spring/shock setups would you suggest? I was thinking like TEIN (thats what my husband runs on his Honda). But hey, Im down for KYB/Spring setups too (if applicable).

Thanks you guys! I appreciate it! I havent modded a car in a long-a** time, and it just bit me again. My husband talked me into it!!!

I think 40 is the stock offset.

But people run 18x8 with a 245/45/18. It has the same dimensions as the SE wheels and tires. 17x7 with 215/55/17

If you want to find out tire size to compare yours to then use this website.

I have Cheap ebay 2.0" front and Stock rear with KYB GR2 shocks/struts.

I have run the 235/40/18 and they do not rub. If you drop the rear a little more they may. I know if you go less than 40 offset the chances are a lot higher.
