I had this issue, I replaced it 2-3 times the FIRST year.I mentioned it to my dealer and I don't know what or if they did anything but it hasn't been a issue since.

That happened to me when I put a dollar store battery into my fob. I got a Duracell battery and has been good since.

im having the same prob with my sentra key fobs. just havent gotten around to the dealer to figure out wth is going on with them yet.

i have the save damn problem with my fobs!! its easy to replace, a monkey could do it..but why does it die so quick?! i wish my replacment batteries lasted 6mos.

Same issue here get about 3-6 months out of a new battery

Do you use the transmitter (ikey buttons) often? That will drain the batter much faster.

I never use the buttons, and ever since my 1st battery change I get 3-6 months out of a battery, its annoying as hell.

i just ignore the message but keep a spare battery around. its been more than 6 months since the message showed up and my key is still fine. sometimes itll say NO KEY when im sitting in the drivers seat but then i press the button and itll start up. the range for the remote is still pretty far, so i dont think its running out of batteries at all just a faulty error message

I seem to be gettting about 2 weeks out of my batteries(Ray o Vac Lithium). I am on the 4th battery. My other altima went 2-1/2 years before needing replacement.

Yeah, I use the 2 for 5 bucks at Wal-Mart Ray-o-vac lithiums, I get the battery dead light about a month after install but it doesnt give me problems until about 6 months but a simple pocket pool maneuver usually makes it work, when I have to put it in the fob-hole i usually switch out....A lot of double entendres in there.
